Islamic Life Style (Quranic Dos & Donts)

Foreword  The Quran repeatedly talks about Al-Ma'rûf - all that Islâm orders one to do and Al-Munkar - all that Islâm has forbidden. These Dos’ and Don’ts’ are the fundamental and essential parts of Islamic teachings which have been made mandatory in our daily life. Allah says in Chapter Aal-e-Imran-104; ‘Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good in Islâm, enjoining Al-Ma'rûf (the Dos’ of Islam) and forbidding Al-Munkar (the Don’ts’ of Islam).’ He expresses His expectations from us in Chapter Al-Hajj-41: ‘If We give them power in the land, they enjoin prayer (Salât), pay the mandatory alms (Zakât), enjoin Al-Ma’rûf, and forbid Al-Munkar.’ Muslims’ special traits in the sight of Allah are mentioned in Chapter Al-Tawbah-71; ‘The believers, men and women, are supporters of one another. They enjoin Al-Ma‘rûf, and forbid from Al-Munkar.’ Our routine life must be identical to these enjoined Dos’ and Don’ts’. We need to rectify our activities as and when…
